Cosa ci serve:
Ingredienti:
Un coniglio ben pulito
1 limone
2 coste di sedano
3 cipolle bianche
3 carote a cubetti
100 gr di olive in salamoia
1/2 bicchiere di vino bianco
Sale e pepe quanto basta
Proviamoci insieme:
Ingredients:
Rabbit cut into serving size pieces
1 lemon
2 ribs of celery
3 white onions
3 diced carrots
100 gr of white olives in brine
1/2 glass of white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
Let's cook together!
Soak the rabbit in water and lemon for half an hour. Arrange the rabbit pieces in a pan with oil and white wine, and leave to evaporate. Then add onions; celery; carrots; and olives. Salt and pepper to taste, and leave to cook until the rabbit is well-cooked. Let rest for 5/10 minutes and serve hot.
This could be fine for 4 pax! However, for me is never enough!!

Hidden Kitchen founds Sicily.
Mista a tristezza. E vergogna ancora
I have found a Hidden gem
Indeed, my happiness run out as fast as a glass of white wine after a summer dinner. I mean, beautiful sea and beautiful sun as usual, but there was something weird in the background: I can see him, that man who is pretending to beat a dead octopus, after he fished it in that water. Actually, it was a dead and frozen octopus. Can you imagine how embarrassed I would have been to see this?
I mean, I do admit that my culinary knowledge is so basic I can’t even make a distinction between a Mazzancolla and a shrimp. I have also had a dinner - twice, some years ago -at Mr. Turi's Restaurant and it was great. Just think D. ate mushrooms for his first (and last) time in his life, and he really loved them! However, I think that my point of view as a Sicilian girl can be – must be – different: that Island, well, she doesn’t need any showy representation because “There is nothing more dangerous, more lethal for the loved person than to be loved, as it were, for not what he or she is, but for fitting the ideal.” [s.z.]
I much prefer little restaurants by the sea - possibly managed by a family – that really strike at the heart, and your taste buds, without being too fancy! For our Thirty Birthday celebration., Betta and I, we decided to spend the night a La Putia. I SWEAR, It was the best night of the whole summer’s vacation!!

D. What do we love about cooking shows, it is the feeling you can travel around the world, tasting anything and everything, meeting people, uncovering secrets and truths. That’s what Hidden Kitchen by Anthony Bourdain shows us every evening at 8.10pm. So just think how happy I could be when I have found out that he went to Sicily. My Island.
